Behavior Crisis Strategies

First Responders

First Responders are the unsung heroes that work endlessly to keep our communities safe. In doing so, they often face challenges that are outside their expertise or responsibilities.

Behavior Crisis Strategies can help first responders by helping mitigate the need for police, fire, and EMS to respond to mental health calls and can be there for them when they do. We also offer mental health support and assistance for first responders.

Our Expertise Can Help First Responders With

Mental Health Support

Whether you need assistance from a mental health expert when responding to calls or if you or a first responder you know needs support, we are here to help!

Resource Connection

Many first responders want to help those they serve to the best of their abilities. Behavior Crisis Strategies can help link agencies to services that offer assistance for individuals for a low or no-cost at all.

Training & Education

Whether your agency needs mental health training or needs to meet continuing education requirements, our team can help. We offer full in-person or online training sessions for first responders.

Mental Health Support

When responding to calls regarding those who are mentally ill, disabled, or simply in a crisis, it can be very stressful to manage and resolve. Behavior Crisis Strategies has trained mental health professionals (some previous first responders), who can assist first responders when responding to mental health calls.

Behavior Crisis Strategies can also help agencies with mental health support for their staff and public servants. Responding to disasters and emergencies has a huge toll on one’s mental well-being. We are here to help you process and move on from the negative experiences that you face. We offer both group and individual therapy for first responders.

Resource Connection

Helping from a police, fire or EMS position unfortunately has it’s limits. Ideally, you would like to help out the person to your fullest ability, but sometimes there is just not enough time or resources to do.

Behavior Crisis Strategies can help be the bridge between public agencies and public aid services. A client can be referred to us, and we will make all the necessary contacts to help link individuals to public services like financial, food, housing, mental health, and more.

Training & Education

Proper training is important in any operation, and the profession of being a first responder is no exception. Whether your agency needs training on a new topic/practice or need to meet certain continuing education requirements, our team can help.

We have mental health educators, who have also worked as first responders, available to assist in training your agency in-person or online.
